Next, we saw some lions. They were napping in the sun. Mrs. Smith told us that lions are known as the kings of the jungle. I thought they looked very lazy but still very beautiful. After that, we visited the monkeys. The monkeys were jumping around and making funny noises. Everyone laughed when one monkey swung on a branch and almost fell!
At 11 a.m., we had a snack time. My mom packed me a delicious sandwich and some fruits. Emily brought cookies, and we all shared our snacks. We sat on the grass and talked about our favorite animals. I told my friends that my favorite animal was the dolphin because they are smart and playful.
After our snack, we visited the penguin exhibit. The penguins were swimming in the water and waddling on the ice. They looked so cute in their little tuxedos! I took many pictures to show my family later.
Then we went to see the elephants. They were huge and had big ears. One elephant sprayed water with its trunk, and everyone laughed and jumped back! It was so funny. Mrs. Smith told us that elephants are very gentle giants and they live in families.
As the day went on, we visited many more animals, including zebras, tigers, and bears. Each animal was more amazing than the last. I was having the best day ever!
